Frequently
Asked Questions
-
All you need is a valid driver license! No boater license required.
-
You must be at least 25 years old to rent a boat with us.
-
All major credit cards are accepted for rental bookings.
If you so choose, you may tip our concierges with cash or by credit card.
-
The Damage Waiver is neither insurance nor a deposit.
It is:
An agreement by Vacation Rental Authority Inc (our parent company) to replace or repair up to $1500 worth of unintentional damages to the boat. This only applies if the renter notifies our staff of damage no later than returning the boat.
Any damages that either exceed $1500, are not disclosed by the boat's return, or are deemed intentional, are the responsibility of the renter per the signed contract. An additional $750 refundable damage and compliance deposit is required for all rentals and will be charged the day of your reservation.

We deliver the boats right to the water, at no added cost! You will pick up your boat at the Coeur d'Alene Boat Launch on 3rd Street, right in between the Coeur d'Alene Resort and McEuen Park.
If you would like your boat delivered to, or picked up from, a home on Lake Coeur d'Alene with a private dock, we can do that too! There is a $150 fee for each direction ($300 total for delivery and pickup). *Deliveries must be requested over the phone or in person, at time of booking. Subject to availability.*
The primary renter, or an agreed upon surrogate, must be present with a valid driver license to pick up the boat.

We recommend our renters park in the McEuen Park Parking Lot, next to the Coeur d'Alene Boat Launch. There is an hourly fee which can be paid at one of the kiosks, or with a QR code found in the lot. Make sure you include the Lot Number (usually 1601) and your license plate number.
You can find more details here.

Just like a rental car, we give you the boat full of fuel and we ask you return it the same way. There is a gas station on the water right next to the boat launch where you will return the boat, so that is the last thing you will do before turning the boat back in.
Failure to fuel up will result in an additional $100 charge on top of fuel costs.
-
Yes, as long as the primary renter notifies us in advance. We will need their first and last name, and telephone number. They must also be at least 25 years old with a valid driver’s license.
-
Children? Yes of course! Be sure to indicate the ages of your kids when booking, so we know what size life vests to provide. Approximate weight can help for proper sizing.
Dogs? Absolutely! We ask that you are mindful of dog hair and any messes that may occur.
Our own tube? Sure! We provide 2-3 person round flat tubes but if you have your own that you would like to tow behind the boat, just let us know and we will make room!
Coolers? Each boat comes with a cooler (ice not provided), but one isn't always enough for large parties. Plan accordingly.
Towels/Extra Clothing? Be prepared to get wet! However, be prepared for everything you bring on board to also potentially get wet! A synthetic layer, like a fleece, is a good idea to stay warm. But towels, blankets, and cotton clothing should probably wait for you on land if you are worried about them staying dry.
Fishing Gear? Fish on! Folks are always welcome to fish off our boats! Please be sure to pack up all your equipment, and clean any waste when you’re done (used line, spilled bait, errant hooks, fish parts, etc.).
-
Yes! All of our boats come equipped with Bluetooth speakers throughout the length of the boat, controlled at the main console. There are also plug-ins for USB and 12v chargers to charge your own devices while onboard.
-
All of our boats come with a QR code that will give you a live Google Map of the lake, showing points of interest including restaurants and bathroom facilities. A paper map is also provided.
-
No, we do not provide anchors on our boats.
Lake Coeur d’Alene is very deep, with lots of debris at the bottom. This can cause anchors to become stuck or lost.
We suggest finding a bay to hang out in and shutting off the engine when you want to swim and play in the water. Just keep an eye on your surroundings and where the wind pushes you, to avoid drifting too close to shore.
